Kolrosing is an ancient Scandinavian technique of cutting the design into the wood, filling the cuts with colour pigment (I use cinnamon\u003cspan\u003e and a beeswax\/mineral oil mix\u003c\/span\u003e) and burnishing to close the wood, trapping the colour pigment beneath the surface. Handwash in warm water and air dry naturally. The wood will take on natural oils and grow a lovely patina with use and may darken over time. That’s the charm of working with a natural material, forever evolving and changing.
