Beginners Spoon Carving Workshop - FULL DAY

Learn the traditional craft of wooden spoon carving with me, Tamsin Quin, in the beautiful surroundings of Brandiers Farm, Minety, Wiltshire.

This is a FULL day course where we will each craft our own wooden spoon from log to finished spoon, using freshly felled green wood and using a variety of hand tools. You will learn basic axe and knife techniques, wood species and form, the ergonomics of spoons for different uses and enjoy a plant based lunch from wooden bowls and spoons around the campfire. (See Half Day course for a more basic alternative). 

We will work outside in a lovely wooded area, surrounded by trees and birdsong. If the weather gods are against us we will work in the barn, however it is still cold so please dress suitably for the time of year. A plant-based gluten-free lunch will be cooked over the fire. 

This course is suitable for beginners, no previous experience is needed. Its a fun day out to learn a new skill in a natural environment and perhaps pick up a new hobby.
