Learn the traditional craft of wooden spoon carving with me, Tamsin Quin, in the beautiful surroundings of Brandiers Farm, Minety, Wiltshire.
We will each craft our own wooden spoon throughout the day using freshly felled green wood and using a variety of hand tools. You will learn basic axe and knife techniques, wood species and form, the ergonomics of spoons for different uses and enjoy a plant based lunch from wooden bowls and spoons around the campfire.
This course is suitable for complete beginners and no previous experience is needed. Its a fun day out to learn a new skill in a natural environment and perhaps pick up a new hobby.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
This is a hand carved wooden item and knife and tool marks may still be present. Please do not put wooden items in the dishwasher. Hand wash only with warm soapy water and leave to air dry. You may wish to oil your spoon every once in a while if it starts looking thirsty. A coat of food safe oil (tung oil, nut oils etc) will nourish the wood and keep it looking fresh.
