Improvers Spoon Carving Workshop
Improvers Spoon Carving Workshop
Does the thought of a crank make you cranky?!
Do you have tear-out or fluffy finishes that haunt your dreams?!
If you've been spoon carving for a while but feel a little stuck in some places, then this is the course for you!
In this course we will go though each aspect of the mighty wooden spoon in more detail, including how to make a crank that feels good, ergonomic handles, finishing cuts, decorating techniques, tool sharpening and more! Bring your bucket of questions and we will share and learn from each others highs, lows and everything in between.
Different woods will be available to try, but I also encourage you to bring along your own finished and unfinished spoons. I will tailor the course to the groups requests as we share and learn together.
We will work outside next to the campfire, so please dress appropriately for the time of year. A warming plant-based and gluten-free lunch will be cooked on the fire. If the weather gods are not smiling down on us, we have the use of the barn, but its still cold so please wrap up.

Care Instructions
This is a hand carved wooden item and knife and tool marks may still be present. Please do not put wooden items in the dishwasher. Hand wash only with warm soapy water and leave to air dry. You may wish to oil your spoon every once in a while if it starts looking thirsty. A coat of food safe oil (tung oil, nut oils etc) will nourish the wood and keep it looking fresh.
