This beautiful Cherry was gifted to me from a friend in Yorkshire. A characterful A-symmetric coffee scoop or caddy spoon, with an elegant shape.. It fits and feels so nicely in the hand. Perfect for little coffee jars, tea caddy’s or scooping dried herbs.
The grain of this cherrywood is just stunning; rippling grain up the handle and central rings in the bowl.
Carved by hand tools only, axe and knife, in Wiltshire woodlands. Knife finished, no sanding, to create a smoother finish.
I like to think this is such a versatile spoon, perfect for coffee, tea, herbs, salt etc.
Finished with Tung oil to really bring the grain out.

This is a hand carved wooden item and knife and tool marks may still be present. Please do not put wooden items in the dishwasher. Hand wash only with warm soapy water and leave to air dry. You may wish to oil your spoon every once in a while if it starts looking thirsty. A coat of food safe oil (tung oil, nut oils etc) will nourish the wood and keep it looking fresh.
