Two magical magpies hand drawn and hand burnt with pyrography to create this stunning art piece to bring some runic wonder to your home.
I’ve been obsessed with watching the magpies outside our window this spring and it’s inspired this charming piece. They are such bold and charismatic birds especially in mating season, and two together are thought to bring good luck.
Each magpie has its own characterful playfulness. The runes surrounding the magpie represent ‘one for sorrow, Two for Joy’
This is all done completely by hand, on a beautiful piece of silky sycamore. Finished with Tung Oil and hung with brass hanging wire on two sturdy D-rings.
Not to be hung outdoors. Best hung in a shady part of the house, out of direct sunlight and not too close to radiators.

This is a hand carved wooden item and knife and tool marks may still be present. Please do not put wooden items in the dishwasher. Hand wash only with warm soapy water and leave to air dry. You may wish to oil your spoon every once in a while if it starts looking thirsty. A coat of food safe oil (tung oil, nut oils etc) will nourish the wood and keep it looking fresh.
